India’s Leading Jewellery Brand donned by Hollywood and Bollywood actors !

Ramesh Narang, ( Batch of 1983) is the Owner of Hazoorilal Legacy, India’s leading brand in Fine Jewellery since 1952. Hazoorilal Legacy designs have graced the Oscars and the BAFTA’s red carpet with leading Hollywood actors such as Julianne Moore, Regina King & Kelly Osbourne donning the jewellery designed by Ramesh himself. Closer home, his designs are championed by the likes of Kangana Ranaut, Tara Sutaria, Athiya Shetty, Raveen Tandon, Shilpa Shetty and many other.

A reflection of his father’s inherent qualities, he often spent time after school in his father’s workshop, closely observing the art of jewellery making and the science behind it.

After AFBBS, he graduated from DU in 1986 and did MBA from the prestigious Delhi Institute of Management Studies (DIMS). He reinforced his perseverance with a Gemology course from IGI – Indian Gemological Institute, New Delhi, majoring in diamonds and coloured stones.A true visionary, he became one of the first few people to introduce Certified Diamond Solitaires and Gold Hallmarking in India.

He has been rightly recognized and felicitated with numerous awards.

The All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) awarded the Chairman’s Token to Ramesh for his significant contribution to the gem and jewellery industry. The Retail Jeweller India Awards (RJIA), one of the most prestigious platforms that recognizes and honours excellence in design, has accorded the brand with numerous awards in significant categories such as the Gold Vivaah Jewellery of the Year, Heritage Jewellery of the Year, Editor’s Choice Heritage Jewellery, Colored Gemstone Vivaah Jewellery, Best Accessory & Diamond Ring of the Year to name a few. Hazoorilal Legacy’s flagship South Extension II store has also been singled out as India’s ‘Best Showroom’ by the esteemed jury of The Retail Jewellers Guild Awards. UBM India (a subsidiary of Informa Markets, Asia’s largest organiser of trade shows) has bestowed the brand with the tag of the Most Preferred Jeweller in Delhi for the year 2019.

He previously held the prestigious position of Director – Educational Technical Committee of Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He is also the founder member and past Regional Chairman of the Gems and Jewellery Federation.

Ramesh is married to Anjali & a proud father of three children and a doting grandfather to Jahan. He is also passionate about travelling which he feels helps him absorb cultures, trends and styles, enabling him to translate his experiences to jewellery design.
